On Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending Vibe Fest at the X-Church, a fantastic annual multicultural event organised and led by the incredible Abiola Akinsola-Obatolu. The event continues to grow year on year and offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy a variety of delicious African cuisine free of charge, alongside a range of stalls with merchandise available to purchase. It was wonderful to see such a strong turnout, with local residents fully embracing the atmosphere, music and dancing. I look forward to attending future events and seeing the festival continue to flourish.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, a resource-intensive incident took place on Lady Meers Road, Cherry Willingham, during which officers engaged in prolonged communication with a male inside a property. The incident lasted several hours and resulted in a significant police presence in the area, which may have caused disruption to local residents. I would like to thank the community for their patience and understanding while officers worked to bring the situation to a safe and successful conclusion. The incident ultimately ended with the male being arrested and charged.  Lukasz Korba, 39, of Lady Meers Road, Cherry Willingham, has been charged with threats to kill, intentional strangulation and actual bodily harm (ABH). He has been refused bail and will attend Lincoln Magistrates' Court this morning (13 July).
